顶石项目
In the senior year of the 先进制造 技术 A.O.S. 程序, students team-up with their fellow classmates and develop a process plan, 制造, 组装, document and present functioning 顶石项目 (models).
This project covers two semesters for both full- and part-time students. The 顶石项目 comprises approximately 40 percent of each student's final grade in the senior lab courses MFTS 203/204 and MFTS 271/272.
It is customary that one working model remains at Hudson Valley Community College while all other models are presented to the corporate sponsors of the annual projects. At the annual Capstone Ceremony, held the last Thursday of the school year, awards totaling approximately $2,000 are presented to students based on GPA and project performance.
